Stephanie L. Lee, PhD, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Evans Clinician at the Boston University School of Medicine and Director of the Multidisciplinary Thyroid Health Center and the Thyroid Nodule and Cancer Research Center. Dr. Lee graduated from UC San Diego with a MD and PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology and completed a molecular and clinical fellowship in Endocrinology at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Lee has clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of thyroid disease and participated on the 2006 and 2009 national guidelines for the diagnosis and management of thyroid nodules and cancer. Her research interests are to improve the methods to diagnosis and manage thyroid nodules thyroid cancer. Currently funded studies includes one of the largest thyroid cancer registry for survivors of thyroid cancer and a prospective clinical trial using an integrated digital diagnostic platform with quantitative ultrasound for the evaluation of thyroid nodules. Dr. Lee is the recipient of several awards including the American Thyroid Association Woman of the Year, the Robert Dawson Evens Clinical Award and is annually name to “Top Doctor” lists by US News and World Report, Boston Magazine and Castle Connolly.
